My Experience

I recently checked out Woburn Sands skatepark and had a blast! It’s definitely on the smaller side, but the set-up is still pretty sweet. The metal ramps were slick and smooth, and I loved the fact that they were on a tarmac base. It made for a super fun and fast ride!

The layout of the park was pretty simple, but it flowed nicely. The back and forth run was made up of a few different obstacles, including a quarter-pipe ramp, bank, and a funbox. I really dug the quarter-pipe ramp, as it had a nice transition and provided plenty of airtime.

The bank was also a lot of fun to ride, and was a great way to build up some speed for hitting the funbox. The funbox was definitely the highlight of the park for me. It had a few different features, including a rail and a small gap to clear. I spent most of my time trying to land some tricks on it, and had a blast in the process.

While the park may be small, it definitely packs a punch. It’s perfect for beginners and intermediate skaters who are looking to hone their skills and try out some new tricks. The smaller size also means that it’s not too crowded, which is always a plus in my book.

All in all, I had a great time at Woburn Sands skatepark. The ramps were top-notch, the layout was solid, and the atmosphere was laid-back and chill. If you’re in the area and looking for a fun spot to skate, I highly recommend checking this place out. The funbox alone is worth the trip!
