My Experience

West Calder Skatepark: A Concrete Playground for Skaters

Last week, my friends and I decided to check out the West Calder Skatepark. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the impressive concrete structure built by Bendrete. It was clear that this skatepark was made to impress.

The park is split into two levels, offering a range of challenges for skaters of all abilities. We started on the upper level, which had a rail, ledge, bank and euro-gap. The euro-gap was a favorite among my friends, who were able to pull off some impressive tricks. However, the lower level had even more to offer, with a wave ramp, curved hip, ledge and volcano, providing a more diverse range of challenges.

One thing we particularly appreciated was the design of the park – it was open and spacious, making it easy for us to skate without feeling cramped or restricted. We also loved the bank on one side, which provided an additional element to play around with.
