My Experience

Fun Times at Uppingham Skatepark!

Last month, my brother and I checked out Uppingham Skatepark at Tod’s Piece Recreational Ground. As avid skateboarders, we were excited to try out the new concrete park that replaced the old wooden one.

The park features a great variety of obstacles, including quarter pipes, flat banks, ledges, rails and a mini-ramp. It’s the perfect size for skateboarders, scooter riders, and BMX enthusiasts alike. We were impressed with how well-proportioned the park is, making it accessible for all skill levels.

Interestingly, the park was built by Flo Skatepark Construction Ltd in 2016 at a cost of around £85,000. It replaced the old wooden park, which had been in use for many years. It’s great to see that the town is investing in activities for young people to enjoy.

Overall, we loved the park! The fact that it’s made of concrete makes it super smooth to ride on, and the different obstacles make it challenging yet fun. We were especially thrilled that the park’s management, Uppingham Town Council, does such a good job of maintaining the facilities.
