My Experience

I checked out Southway’s Big Will’s Skatepark last week and it was a blast! The park is located in Pendeen Park and it’s pretty easy to find. As soon as I arrived, I was stoked to see the modular metal mini ramp, ledge and rail on a tarmac base.

The park was packed with skaters of all levels, but everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I’m not the most experienced skater out there, but I felt right at home. There were a few kids there who were shredding it and it was so cool to see them do their thing.

The mini ramp was definitely my favourite part of the park. It was smooth, fast and had just the right amount of curve to it. I spent most of my time there, working on my tricks and trying to get better. The ledge and rail were also a lot of fun to skate, but I didn’t spend as much time on them.

One thing that really stood out to me about the park was how well-maintained it was. There wasn’t any trash or debris lying around, and the ramps were all in great condition. It’s clear that the park is well-loved by the skaters who use it.
