My Experience

My Fun Experience at Ollerton Skatepark

Last month, I took my younger sister to the Ollerton Skatepark on Darwin Drive. It was our first time there and we were both excited as we had heard great things about it. The park is fully concrete and has several different sections, making it a great spot for skaters of all levels.

One of our favorite sections was the mini ramp with an extension and central spines. It was challenging, but not too difficult for my sister who is a beginner. The street section was also great, with roll-in ramps, rail, ledge and even a “construction” obstacle. It felt like we were skating in a real urban environment.

Another highlight was the large “air” ramp off the side of the mini ramp. It had a quarter-pipe and roll-in ramp on either side, which allowed us to practice our tricks from different angles. It was a bit intimidating at first, but we quickly got the hang of it.

The park was well-maintained and we felt safe skating there. There were also plenty of other skaters and BMX riders around, which created a fun and lively atmosphere. We even made some new friends while we were there.
