My Experience

Rolling Through Ards Skatepark

The Ards Skatepark is a concrete paradise for skaters looking for a fun and challenging experience. Located within the Ards Blair Mayne Wellbeing & Leisure Centre complex, this park has everything you need to test your skills and push your boundaries. I went there with some of my friends a few weeks ago, and I have to say, it was an awesome day.

The mini ramp at Ards Skatepark is perfect for skaters who want to warm up before hitting the more advanced sections. It has a smooth surface and a nice height, making it perfect for pumping and doing basic tricks. From there, you can move on to the back and forth run between quarter pipes. The transitions are smooth, and the coping is perfect for grinding. I spent most of my time here, trying to nail my 50-50s and feeble grinds.

The rail at Ards Skatepark is another fun feature. It’s not too high, but it’s long enough to challenge your balance and coordination. I saw some of my friends doing some sick board slides and 50-50s on it. If you’re a beginner, this is a great rail to start with. But if you’re more experienced, you can use it to work on your more advanced tricks.

The driveway with ledges in-between is the most challenging section at Ards Skatepark. The ledges are high, and the driveway has a steep incline, making it difficult to maintain your speed. But if you’re up for the challenge, this section is worth it. I saw some guys doing some insane grinds and slides here. I tried to do a few tricks, but I have to admit, I need more practice.

Overall, I had a blast at Ards Skatepark. The park is well-designed and maintained, and the atmosphere is friendly and laid-back. The only downside is that it can get crowded, especially on weekends. But if you’re patient and willing to wait your turn, you’ll have a great time. I highly recommend this park to anyone who loves skating and wants to have some fun with their friends.

Ards Skatepark is a must-visit destination for skaters looking for a challenging and fun experience.
