My Experience

My experience at Monmouth Dixton Field Skatepark

Last week, I visited Monmouth Dixton Field Skatepark with my friends, and I must say I had a blast. The skatepark was made up of metal ramps on a tarmac base, giving it a unique and modern look. The ramps were well-built, providing a smooth riding experience for skateboarders and BMX bikers alike.

One of the highlights of this skatepark was the back and forth run, consisting of a quarter pipe and a flat bank either side of a funbox. We spent most of our time riding these features and trying out some new tricks. The quarter pipe was perfect for practicing some air tricks, while the funbox provided enough room for us to experiment with different variations of grinds and slides.

The atmosphere at the skatepark was great, with fellow riders cheering each other on and giving tips on how to execute different tricks. The sense of community was evident, and it made the experience even more enjoyable.

Sadly, we found out that the skatepark was closed and removed as a new concrete skatepark was built off Rockfield Road. However, I’m excited to check out the new skatepark soon and see what features it has to offer.
