Metheringham Skatepark is a concrete skatepark designed and built by Freestyle that opened its doors to the public in 2014. It is located in the playing field just off Princes Street, and offers a perfect blend of street and transition elements, catering to skaters and BMX riders of all abilities.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a long quarter pipe that runs along one side of the park, with a facing quarter pipe at the end forming a mini ramp. This mini ramp is positioned back-to-back with a roll over jump box, which can be accessed by another quarter pipe. Also adjacent to the roll over is a volcano-style bump, perfect for pumping along.

On the other half of the park, riders can enjoy a small and simple street section that features a flat bank with a rail alongside, a manny pad with a bowled edge, and a curved stair set with a hubba and a curved ledge at the back. Metheringham Skatepark: A Fun Spot for Skaters of All Abilities

Last week, I went to Metheringham Skatepark with my buddies and we had a blast! Designed and built by Freestyle, this all-concrete skatepark opened in 2014 and offers a great mix of street and transition elements. It can be found in the playing field just off Princes Street.

As we arrived, we were greeted by a long quarter pipe running along one side, with a facing quarter pipe at the end forming a mini ramp. We loved how it was back to back with a roll over jump box, which was lead up to with another quarter pipe. The other half of the skatepark was taken up with a small and simple street section that featured a flat bank with rail along side a manny pad with bowled edge and a curved stair set with hubba and a curved ledge at the back. The volcano-style bump was also a great addition for pumping along.

One of the things we liked about Metheringham Skatepark was how it had something for everyone, regardless of their skill level. There were bumps in all the right places for nice long flowing lines, and the surfaces were super smooth. We felt that the skatepark was well-maintained and in great condition.
