My Experience

Rolling at Kettering Skatepark with my Brother and Son

Last week, my brother, my son and I headed to Kettering Skatepark, and we had the most thrilling skateboarding experience. The park is constructed on a tarmac base, with both wooden and metal ramps, and it offers a back and forth run with a quarter pipe and flat bank either side of a funbox, as well as a mini ramp.

What stood out for us was the variety of obstacles that catered to our different skateboarding skills and levels. My brother, who is more advanced, enjoyed trying out the different tricks he had learned over the years, while my son, who is still a beginner, had ample space to practice his basic skills without feeling overwhelmed by the more complex structures.

The park’s smooth surface allowed us to move around with ease, and we could ride continuously without worrying about tripping or falling. Additionally, the park’s layout facilitated interaction between skaters, and everyone was friendly and supportive of each other.

One of the most exciting moments was when my son landed his first ollie on the mini ramp. It was such an incredible moment, and we were all cheering him on. He was thrilled, and we were proud of him for persevering and learning a new trick while having fun.
