Last week, me and my friends decided to check out Ipswich Stoke Bridge Skatepark, also known as Ipswich Skatepark. We were looking for a new spot to skate and heard some great things about this medium-sized park located on the banks of the River Orwell.

As soon as we arrived, we were impressed with the park’s layout. The mini ramp on one side with two hipped quarter pipes leading off the edges and opening into the main body of the skatepark was a great feature. The jump box and pyramid with a hubba were also fun elements to skate on. We especially liked the flat banks that acted as return ramps to those runs, and the ledge that finished off the course.

One of the best things about Ipswich Skatepark was the smooth concrete surfaces. It allowed us to pick up speed and perform tricks with ease. We noticed that the park was not too crowded, even though it was a weekend, which was perfect for us to try out new tricks without getting in each other’s way.
