My Experience

Fun Skateboarding Experience at Hollowell Way Skatepark

Last week, my friends and I decided to check out the Hollowell Way Skatepark. It’s a small skatepark located in Rugby, consisting of metal ramps on a tarmac base.

As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the skatepark wasn’t overcrowded, which was a nice surprise. The back-and-forth layout of the park with a funbox between two quarter pipes and a flatbank was perfect for beginners like us. The metal ramps were in good condition, and we had a blast trying out different tricks.

One of my friends, who is more experienced, appreciated the presence of a rail, which added some variety to the park’s features. He also noted that the park was well-maintained, and we didn’t encounter any safety issues during our visit.

Although the skatepark is not the most impressive we’ve seen, we appreciate that it’s free to use and open to the public. It’s also great to know that the Rugby Borough Council is planning to replace the skatepark with a new concrete park in the near future.
