Description of the Grassmoor Skatepark: Shred the Concrete

The Grassmoor Skatepark is a concrete paradise that is situated on the Grassmoor playing fields in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. This skatepark is designed in a back and forth manner and is perfect for skaters of all levels.

At one end of the skatepark, you will find two quart ramps of slightly different heights, which are separated by a gap. Just in front of the ramps, skaters can enjoy a ledge, rail, manual pad, and ramp with a raised ledge. Moving on from these obstacles, there is a spine, rounded hip, and rail/ramp with a gap. Finally, at the end of the run, you will encounter a full width quart ramp. All of these features provide an ideal setting for skaters to practice and showcase their skills.

One of the best things about the Grassmoor Skatepark is the fact that it is always open and free to access. Whether you prefer to skate during the day or under the stars, you can shred the concrete whenever you feel like it. Additionally, this skatepark is an outdoor facility, which means that you can enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while you skate.

My Experience

I went to Grassmoor Skatepark last week, and it was definitely worth the trip! Located on Grassmoor playing fields, this skatepark is constructed of concrete and has a unique back and forth design. At one end, there are two quart ramps with a gap in between, which are great for practicing tricks. In front of the ramps, you’ll find a ledge, rail, manual pad, and ramp with a raised ledge – perfect for practicing your grinds and slides.

As you move further down the skatepark, you’ll encounter a spine, rounded hip, and rail/ramp with a gap. These features give the skatepark an added level of complexity, making it more challenging for intermediate and advanced skaters. But don’t worry if you’re a beginner – there are plenty of areas to practice your skills and build your confidence.

At the end of the run, you’ll be presented with a full-width quart ramp that’s perfect for catching some air. The surface of the skatepark is smooth and well-maintained, making for a great skating experience. There were a few other skaters there when I visited, but we all managed to share the space and have a good time.

Overall, I would highly recommend Grassmoor Skatepark to anyone looking for a fun and challenging skating experience. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced skater, there’s something here for everyone. So grab your board and head on over – you won’t be disappointed!
