Overview

Discover the Thrill of Street Skating at Rotherham Skatepark

Rotherham Skatepark, situated in Clifton Park, is one of the best local spots for street skaters. Designed by Freestyle and built by Wheelscape, this skatepark opened its doors back in 2009 and has been a favourite destination for skaters ever since.

The park is primarily a street plaza, but it also features some transitions that add to the excitement. The setup follows a loop that starts on one side with a raised level and a stair set with rails leading down to the lower level. On one side is a path that features a ledge with a pole jam, and following this is a curved ledge next to a kicker. The path then leads to a taco that acts as a return ramp and leads back onto the second path in the loop. This path features a flat bank that leads up to the next level with a rail, hubba, and euro gap. Following this is a long manny pad and a driveway with a quarter pipe and hubba.

The surfaces at Rotherham Skatepark are smooth, and the obstacles are creatively arranged given the available space. It’s a great place to brush up on your street skating skills and try out some new tricks. Just keep in mind that the park’s opening times are subject to change, so make sure to check before setting out.

But what really makes Rotherham Skatepark stand out is the smooth surfaces. Every obstacle is perfectly maintained, making it a dream to skate on. And as a street skater, I was particularly impressed with the selection of obstacles available. From ledges and rails to banks and gaps, there was something for every type of street skating.
