My Experience

My Experience at Charing Skatepark

Looking for a new spot to shred, my friends and I decided to check out Charing Skatepark a few weeks ago. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with what we found.

First of all, the park itself is made up of metal ramps on a tarmac base, which may not be everyone’s preference, but I found it to be a good mix of smooth and grippy. Plus, it’s nice to have a change from the usual concrete parks.

One of the standout features of Charing Skatepark is the rail. It’s a decent height and length, and there’s enough run-up space to really get some speed going. I also really enjoyed the back and forth run, which has a quarter pipe and a flat bank on either side of a funbox. It’s a great setup for practicing lines and combos.

Overall, the park has a nice flow to it, and there’s a good variety of obstacles to keep things interesting. I will say that it can get pretty crowded on weekends, so if you’re looking to skate without too much interruption, it might be best to go during the week.

One thing to note: the park is not very beginner-friendly. There aren’t any small features to learn on, so it’s definitely geared more towards intermediate to advanced skaters. That being said, if you’re looking to take your skating to the next level, Charing Skatepark is a great place to do it.
