My Experience

Last week, my best friends and I decided to check out Cambourne skatepark. We were a bit disappointed to find out that the park was under re-development, but we were glad to see that the mini-ramp and a set of rails were still there.

Built in 2011 as part of the Cambourne housing development, the skatepark is made up of metal ramps on a tarmac base. It has a mini-pipe, roll-in ramps, rails, and boxes. In February 2015, the park was extended with the addition of halfpipes, two grid boxes, and a rail.

Despite the missing ramps, we still had a blast at Cambourne skatepark. The mini-ramp was small but fun to ride, and we spent a lot of time grinding on the rails. The tarmac was in good condition, which made it easy to glide over the surfaces.

We also loved the park’s layout. The mini-pipe was a great addition and made it easy to practice some new tricks. The roll-in ramps were perfect for beginners, and we saw a lot of kids using them. The boxes were a bit challenging, but that made it all the more exciting when we finally landed a trick on them.

Even though it’s currently being re-developed, the mini-ramp and rails make it worth the visit.
