My Experience

My Experience at Bridgemary Skatepark

If you’re looking for a rad place to skate, Bridgemary Skatepark is definitely worth checking out. I went there a few weeks ago and had a blast!

The park, which was constructed in 2017 by Gravity skateparks, cost £140,000, and it shows. This place is seriously sick! It was built following a plaza design with two levels that offer a ton of variety. I especially loved the roll-in ramp at one end that transitions down to the lower level by means of a rail, or set of hubbas.

Speaking of which, the lower level has a bunch of cool features, including an arched rail, straight rail, high bank, raised ledge, and three offset quarter-pipe ramps. It’s perfect for practising your tricks and nailing those grinds.

To the right of the plaza is a kidney-shaped bowl with a raised wall to one side. It’s a bit more challenging than the plaza area, but I loved the added complexity. It really tested my skills and made me step up my game.

Overall, I was super impressed with Bridgemary Skatepark. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care went into designing and building it. The fact that it’s so new and well-maintained is a huge plus, too. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves to skate or is looking for a new place to shred.
