Shredding at Bones Skatepark

Located in a warehouse in Stockport, Bones Skatepark is an ultimate indoor playground for skateboarders and BMX riders alike. The bespoke wooden ramps and a bowl are the highlights of the park, catering to all skill levels for beginner to advanced riders.

The park is equipped with every obstacle that skaters and riders usually encounter in their daily sessions. The back and forth arrangement of the obstacles includes quarter pipes, flat banks, spines, a mini ramp, funboxes, jump boxes, kickers, hubba, rails, and even a wall ride for the daredevils. The flat bottomed figure 8 bowl, although whippy in parts, offers a smooth ride that is worth conquering.

The arrangement of the obstacles at Bones Skatepark is quite impressive, allowing for a lot of lines and exciting runs. While the park is more BMX-focused, skaters will not be disappointed with what the park has to offer.

The park is open on a subject-to-opening-and-closing-times basis, making it easy to plan an indoor session during rainy or cold weather. The paid facility is a must-visit for anyone who loves to skate or ride in the Stockport area.

My Experience

Last week, I went to Bones skatepark with my best buds and let me tell you, it was a blast! This indoor facility, located in a warehouse in Stockport, has bespoke wooden ramps and a bowl that will make any skater or BMXer’s heart skip a beat.

The park has all the usual obstacles you’d expect from a skatepark, including quarter pipes, flat banks, spines and a mini ramp. But, what really stood out to us were the funboxes, jump boxes, kickers, hubba, rails, and even a wall ride. This variety of obstacles made for a great challenge and kept us entertained for hours.

The bowl, which is a flat bottomed figure 8, was a total adrenaline rush. Although it can be a bit whippy in some parts, it offers a smooth ride overall. It was so much fun to watch our BMXer friend doing tricks on the bowl, and I even tried it myself (although I may have fallen a few times).

Overall, Bones is an amazing indoor skatepark that exceeded our expectations. The arrangement of the obstacles is cleverly done, which allows for a lot of lines to be created. However, it’s worth noting that the park is more BMX focused, so if you’re a skater, you may have to take a bit more care.

What we loved the most about Bones is that it’s perfect for all levels of skill, whether you’re a beginner or a pro. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even provided us with some tips on how to improve our skills.
