My Experience

Haywards Heath Skatepark: A Small But Smooth Haven for Skateboarding Enthusiasts

Last week, my friends and I decided to visit Haywards Heath Skatepark, and we were blown away by the experience. The park, which was designed and built by Wheelscape in 2014, is a small all-concrete skatepark that mainly features transitions.

As we entered the park, we were greeted by a quarter pipe and flat bank set with an extension on one side. Moving further, we encountered a driveway with a wedge, hubba and adjoining pump bump, and along with it, a wall ride with a ledge. At the back of the skatepark was a bowled section, which was the perfect place to practice our tricks.

Although the park layout was small and simple, the smooth surfaces more than made up for it. We spent hours skating and learning the basics, and it was an incredible experience. The park’s back-and-forth layout works well, allowing skaters to flow smoothly from one obstacle to another.

What we loved about Haywards Heath Skatepark was its simplicity, which made it perfect for beginners learning their first moves. The park also provided a good challenge for experienced skaters with its features and unique obstacles.
