My Experience

Skating Fun at Blackburn Skatepark

Last week I visited Blackburn Skatepark with my friends and we had an absolute blast! The park was designed and built by Wheelscape, opening in 2014, and is an all-concrete park that features transitions and street elements. It can be found in Murrayfield Park, and we were excited to finally check it out.

Starting on one side, the park has a bowl with a thin rectangular section that doubles as a mini-ramp, which is adjoined to a wider section with an oververt. Following this is a flat bank that leads down a level with a euro gap, stair set, rail, and hubbas, and after this is a pump bump and hipped bank with a flat bank as the return ramp.
