Overview

Description: Shred at 4Motion Skatepark and Get Your Skating Game On

4Motion Skatepark is an indoor skatepark located just outside Darlington town. It’s a large warehouse that boasts bespoke wooden ramps on a concrete floor with lots of space between the ramps and a wide variety of obstacles. The warehouse is divided into two sections, one half dedicated to street skating and the other half to transitions.

The transitions section is a skater’s paradise, starting with a bowled corner along one corner that opens up into a series of jump boxes, spines, hips, and roll overs. At the other end, the return ramps are made up of a roll-in and a quarter pipe with a large vert wall. Behind the vert wall is a large quarter pipe with massive vert extensions alongside a rectangular bowl with rounded corners.

On the other half of the 4Motion warehouse, you’ll find the street section. On either side of the course are flat banks and quarter pipes with hubbas, and housed between the two are a funbox with hubba and a flat bank leading off the side. Opposite to this is a whippy quarter adjoined to a driveway with hubba.

One of the best things about 4Motion Skatepark is that it’s suitable for riders of all abilities. The obstacles are well-spaced and arranged so that riders can explore their limits and learn new tricks.

My Experience

I visited 4Motion skatepark last week and I have to say, this place is rad! It’s a large indoor park located just outside Darlington town, set in a warehouse that houses bespoke wooden ramps on a concrete floor. The park is split into two sections: the street section and the transitions section.

The transitions section is where it’s at! It starts with a bowled corner along one corner which opens up into a series of jump boxes, spines, hips, and roll-overs. The return ramps at the other end are made up of a roll-in and a quarter pipe with a massive vert wall. On the back side of the vert wall is a large quarter pipe with massive vert extensions alongside a rectangular bowl with rounded corners. It’s a dream come true for any transition skater!

The street section is equally as impressive. It has flat banks and quarter pipes with hubbas on either side of the course. Housed between the two are a funbox with hubba and a flat bank leading off the side. Opposite to this is a whippy quarter adjoined to a driveway with hubba. It’s perfect for street skaters looking for a challenge.

Overall, 4Motion is a great indoor park with smooth surfaces and almost everything you want for in a skatepark with obstacles for riders of all abilities. The obstacles are well spaced and arranged, making this skatepark somewhere you should place high up on your list of parks to visit. If you’re in the area, make sure you check it out!
